There is an eerie and barren feel to this piece that highlights how home for some people may be tainted with dread, violence and poverty. I feel lucky to have a secure and stable life and I think the use of helicopters and the lone wolf conveys a sense of desertion and fear in this sparsely depicted scene. I reflect on how fortunate I am, and how culture and geography can dictate what ‘home’ means.
